Known as the “Heart of Oklahoma,” this stunning town with a rich equestrian history is a picturesque haven for residents and visitors alike. The city oversees a range of services and initiatives including civic leadership, protection, and maintenance of city property. Founded in 1887, the former railroad town typically has multiple ongoing community service projects related to improving and beautifying various areas.  Overseeing a bustling small city that is home to over 6,500 residents, the city government stays busy. But a patchwork of inefficient and disjointed systems was interfering with city operations. To maintain and improve the community, the city frequently works with organizations that offer grants. This process requires collaboration and coordination among city and community leaders and citizens who depend on reliable printing and copying systems.  The city of Purcell was looking to work with a local partner that could provide technology solutions to help it meet its goals of serving citizens and following City Council and Trust Authority policies effectively. Standley Systems met with city officials to design a solution that was efficient, simple, and cost-effective.  ## The Solution:  After a consultation where we listened to city leaders and workers, analyzed their workload, and gained a thorough understanding of their workload and processes, we created a solution tailored to their needs and backed by local support services.  ### Comprehensive Needs Assessment  Every customer is different, and our approach depends on understanding our clients’ missions, pain points, and needs. We started by performing a needs assessment to determine how we could help the city of Purcell achieve its objectives. Representatives explained their normal business functions and the obstacles and frustrations they encounter.  One persistent problem was equipment reliability. Frequent downtime and supply management issues were leading to inefficiencies in their office. The city also handles confidential data that needs to be protected against theft and breaches.  ### Simple Print, Copy, and Fax Options We created a unified [print management solution](https://www.standleys.com/it-managed-services) based on our analysis. This system allowed users to optimize [printer, copier, and fax equipment](https://www.standleys.com/what-we-do/office-copiers-printers-and-scanners) so they could maintain the information flow between departments, projects, and stakeholders. We continuously monitor the city's system for performance issues. If a machine breaks down, we can provide fast, qualified technical field service within four hours. The city can get back up and running with minimal downtime or disruption.  ### Automated Supply Replenishment The city of Purcell has a lot of moving parts. By taking on its print management responsibilities and automating supply requisitions, Standley Systems took the administrative burden off the city employees. This freed them to focus on improving their city and serving its residents.  ### Secure Data Protection City governments have become prime targets for ransomware and other types of cyber attacks. These attacks frequently occur when a malicious actor gains access to a network through vendor software or peripheral devices.
