At Public Strategies, the work is centered around people: unlocking potential, driving meaningful change, and helping ideas turn into action. It’s fast-paced, high-impact work that depends on having the right partners in place behind the scenes.
That’s where Standley Systems comes in.
Interestingly, the relationship between Public Strategies and Standley didn’t start as a traditional client alliance. When Public Strategies needed to relocate from a northwest Oklahoma City office building, they leased space in a Standley-owned building downtown. At the time, the connection was simply the right space at the right time.
But it didn’t stay that way for long.
As the two teams got to know each other, it became clear there was a natural alignment. Shared values around service, responsiveness, and community created a strong foundation, and the relationship quickly evolved beyond landlord and tenant.
That connection eventually grew into a technology alliance, with Standley supporting Public Strategies’ managed print and production print environment.
“One of the things that’s made this relationship so strong is the people behind it,” said Sammye Cravens of Public Strategies. “Together, we’ve built a great relationship with our collective leadership teams over the years. There’s a level of trust and authenticity there. We know Standley cares about doing what’s right, not just what’s easiest. That makes a big difference.”
While managed print may not be the most visible part of an organization’s operations, it’s critical to keep things running smoothly. For a team such as Public Strategies where curriculum resources, reports and client deliverables are constant, reliability matters. Standley’s approach has been simple: make it easy, keep it running, and stay proactive.
The result is a system Public Strategies doesn’t have to think about, and a partner they can count on.
What’s made the relationship last, though, goes beyond technology.
Both organizations share a strong commitment to the community. Public Strategies is deeply focused on creating impact and expanding opportunities for the people we serve, and Standley has shown up with a similar mindset. Over time, we have been able to partner on community initiatives and local efforts, strengthening not only our working relationship but shared impact.
“It’s never felt transactional,” Cravens added. “There’s a level of trust there, and a shared commitment to the community that makes working together feel natural.”
That alignment has made the relationship feel less like a business arrangement and more like a natural collaboration.
Today, our collaboration is built on trust, consistency, and a genuine understanding of each other’s goals. What started as a simple lease has grown into a long-term commitment that doesn’t just support the work, but joins in.
